وهذا الكتاب الذي كتبه فضيلة العلامة الجليل الشيخ حسن الصفّار (أيّده الله سبحانه وتعالى)، يعالج مسالة الحرية والتعددية في الإسلام.
وقد قرأت الكتاب، وأهنّئ فضيلة الشيخ الجليل على توفيق الله له في إنجاز هذا العمل، الذي يشقّ طريقاً في مجالٍ غير مطروق في الأبحاث الفقهيّة والفكريّة الإسلاميّة.
أستطيع أن أقول: إنّ فضيلة الشيخ الجليل قد وُفِّق توفيقاً كبيراً في إثارة الأسئلة الصعبة في هذا الحقل، ووُفِّق إلى حدٍّ كبيرٍ في تقديم الإجابات الملائمة عن الأسئلة المطروحة حول التعدّد والتنوّع فكراً وفقهاً، واستطاع أن يثبت أن الموقف الإسلامي من التنوع والتعدد هو موقف إيجابي وليس سلبياً، فالإسلام يعطي شرعية الوجود في العقائد والمذاهب والإتجاهات الفكرية المخالفة له، ولا يفرض على أصحابها الإذعان له من دون قناعات، ولا يكره على إعتناقه أحداً، ويبدو لي أن هذا الكتاب هو أحد الكتب الجديرة بالعناية والرعاية والإنتفاع...
أعود فأكرّر التنويه بهذا الكتاب وبمؤلّفه فضيلة العلامة الجليل الشيخ حسن الصفار أيده الله تعالى، والكتاب في ما اعتقد يلبّي حاجة ماسة ومتنامية في مجتمعاتنا الإسلاميّة التي تعصف بها خلافات مذهبيّة وطائفيّة، وخلافات بين المسلمين الملتزمين وبين المسلمين الذين يعملون في الحقل السياسي على خلفيّات من داخل أطر تنظيميّة غير إسلاميّة ذات طابع قومي أو غير قومي، وكذلك بعض المجتمعات تعصف بها الخلافات الدينيّة بين المسلمين وغيرهم، إنّ هذا الكتاب وأمثاله من الأبحاث التي تشرح وجهة نظر الإسلام الرحبة والمنفتحة للتعايش مع الأغيار يلبي حاجة ماسة.
