هذا الإنفصام المريب، بين الورع والخطيئة، هو تجسيد، صراع بالقوة بين حب لذة الحياة ومباهجها، وبين الإرتعاد رهبة منها.
تلك هي إزدواجية اللعنة التي حَملت النفسُ البائسة أثقالَها المُرّة، بيد أن الإنسان وقع من جرائها في تساؤلات جمة: من أنا؟ وإلى أين أنا؟، وهل أنا من يتعقب الخوف، أم هو الذي يتعقبني؟...
من الحق أن كل الأشياء التي خافها الإنسان وسيجد لها، كانت تأتي من جهالته بها، بل، من جهالته بنفسه، حتى شهوة الجمال خضعت للإخصاء، واعتبرَ "الأنا الحرماني الأعلى" أنه كلما ازدادت شهوة الجمال تأثيراً في الروح إزداد إثمها، مما جعل الجمال رجساً عظيماً، تلك هي شقوة (ثقافة التحريم) منذ بدء الزمن الأسطوري المقدس أي، حين أدرك ذلك الكائن جمال الخطيئة، فلم تتجرأ نفسه الخطاءة على البوح بما يخالجها، إلا أن معرفته بثقافة الإخصاء التي مورست عليه من خلال التجربة الحيّة، تؤكد بالقطع أن في نفسه حقيقة الجمال، وليس في الأشياء التي سجد لها، ولقد أدرك الإنسان أن الجمال الذي يجسدها ليس عِشقاً لها، وإنما الإله المُتجسد فيها جمالاً يُعشق، وتطلع إلى التخلص من عقدة البحث عن الشفقة وذل الإنفصام والخوف، وأيقن أن ما تهفو إليه الروح هو من تجليات القداسة.
