في هذه الدراسة، يحاول حسن ببزاري القبض على هوية بعض العناصر البارزة التي تشترك في صنع قرار التلقي والتأويل في المعلقات، فالتلقي، كما سيأتي في هذه الدراسة "شريك للإبداع في تحقيق جمالية النص، ولكنه ليس بديلاً عنه: يغذي البذرة المخصبة، ويلون الخطاطة المسودة، ولكنه لا يحيي الأرض الموات".
من هنا آثر المؤلف طرح اسئلة التلقي والتأويل في المتن المقروء، من منظور خاص هو منظور إعادة كتابة تاريخ الأدب، عند أحد أهم رواد الإتجاه التاريخي الهيرمونيطيقي في نظرية جمالية التلقي، وهو ياوى، متمثلاً لجدلية الأسئلة والأجوبة المتحكمة في آفاق انتظار قراء المعلقات، عبر مراحل تاريخ تلقيها المختلفة، في محاولة لإكمال مسلسل تسكًل الآفاق واندماجها بالإنطلاق من الأفق الراهن، لذلك كله، يقدم المؤلف – في هذا الكتاب – قراءته الخاصة لنص من نصوص المعلقات هو نص "زهير بن ابي سلمى" في ضوء مفاهيم مستمدة من قنوات شعرية وبلاغية، وسيميائية وتداولية، تراعي أحوال السنن، وخطاطاته المضمرة في كفايات النص الشعري عبر مقولات إيقاعية وسردية وخطابية تم الإشتغال عليها من قبل المؤلف .. أما عن مواد الكتاب، فقد تم توزيعها عبر توطئة نظرية هي بمثابة مدخل للدراسة، يتبعها قسمين متكاملين، وخاتمة – القسم الأول جاء بعنوان "نحو تاريخية للتلقي الجمالي للمعلقات" ويتكون من ثلاثة فصول، روعي في بنائها مبدأ الكيف، قبل مبدأ الكم وهي:
الفصل الأول: المفاهيم المعالم في نظرة ياوى، الفصل الثاني: تاريخية التلقي الأدبي للمعلقات. الفصل الثالث: دلالات المعلقات بالنظر إلى مراحل تلقيها المختلفة.
أما القسم الثاني فجاء بعنوان "البعد التفاعلي للتجربة الجمالية في المعلقات" وهو مرصود لبناء نموذج لتحليل النص الشعري، حيث وقع اختيار المؤلف على معلقة زهير بن ابي سلمى، بناءً على حيثيات تحاول تخطي كل نمطية سابقة على الإنجاز، وهو ما فعله المؤلف كقارىء عاش تجربة قراءة الشعر القديم ودرسها بعناية وتوصل عبرها إلى قراءات مختلفة.
