هذا الكتاب عبارة عن محاضرات ألقاها سماحة الشيخ محمد تقي المصباح اليزدي في جمع من الأساتذة والجامعيين التعبويين في جامعة (علم وصنعت)، وقد تناول فيها ثلاثة مواضيع: الموضوع الأول: تعرض فيه عبر محاضرتين قيمتين للمسؤولية الملقاة على عاتق العلماء والأساتذة في مجال الثقافة خصوصاً في البلاد الإسلامية، وهو يشير إلى أهمية المرحلة وخطورتها وصعوبة المسؤولية الملقاة على عهدة المسؤولين، عارضاً لبعض المقاطع التاريخية الحرجة التي مرت بها الثورة في انطلاقتها وأثناء الحرب مع العراق.
الموضوع الثاني: تناول فيه البحث عن التعددية الدينية في أربع محاضرات، يذكر فيها الأشكال التي يمكن تصورها في عرض التعددية، وقد قدمها بشكل لا يخطر حتى على أذهان متبعيها، ثم أخذ بتفنيد هذه الأشكال واحداً بعد الآخر.
الموضوع الثالث: ذكر فيه عبر ثلاث محاضرات حول العنف والتسامح في الإسلام، أو ما يعبر عنه ببحث الجاذبة والدافعة، وهل إن الإسلام جاذب أو دافع للناس عنه، وفي نهاية هذا البحث توجه إليه سؤالان دفاعاً عن فكرة العنف أو تعديلاً لبعض الألفاظ والأحكام مجاراة للأوضاع الراهنة، والظروف المحيطة، ويقوم الأستاذ بالإجابة عليهما وبشكل دقيق وإن كان قد داهمه الوقت ولم يسمح له بالتفصيل أكثر، لكن مع ذلك يجد القارئ الجواب الشافي والمقنع على تلك الأسئلة.
