يضم هذا الكتاب بين طياته تحقيقاً لمسند هشام بن سالم الجواليقي حيث يعرض المحقق في الفصل الأول لسيرة هشام بن سالم العلمية والفكرية وقدم دراسات مفصلة عن روايات هشام عن الأئمة وأما الفصل الثاني فعرض لمسند هشام والذي هو عبارة عمّا رواه وما أسند إليه من روايات عن الأئمة, مجموعة من مصادر عديدة زادت عن خمسة وستين مصدراً شيعياً. وحاول أن يرتب "المسند" حسب العناوين التي أوردها أصحاب الكتب الأربعة في مجاميعهم الحديثية, وقسمه إلى أربعة فصول: الأول: في العقائد, الفصل الثاني: في الأخلاق, الفصل الثالث: في الأحكام والرابع في التفسير القرآني وفي آخر المسند يوجد قائمة بأسماء المصادر والمراجع التي اعتمدها المحقق في بناء هذا المسند.
