يعالج الدكتور قاسم المومني في كتابه "صاحب النص وناقده" النص في ضوء علاقته بصاحبه، وتتأمل صورة ناقده/ قارئه كما في نظرية النقد الأدبي عند العرب. والذي لا شكّ فيه أن النص بحكم موقعه الذي يتوسط فيه ما بين مبدعه وناقده/ قارئه كان ولم يزل مأم النقاد، عرباً وغير عرب، ومقصدهم. وكانت علاقته بصاحبه محل جدل وخلاف بين النقاد: قدماء ومحدثين. لقد ذهب بعضهم إلى أن علاقة النص بصاحبه مكينة وقوية، فهو الذي يبدعه أو ينجزه، وهو الذي ينتسب النص إليه، وعلى هذا الأساس يمكن أن نفهم ما يتواتر في كتاباتنا النقدية من حديث في طبيعة النشاط الإبداعي، وحوافزه أو دوافعه، ومراحل إنجازه، وغير ذلك مما سيظل يشير إلى حضور المبدع، قوياً كان حضوره أو ضعيفاً، وذهب غيرهم إلى أن صلة النص بصاحبه تتوقف لحظة يصير النص منجزاً، وبناءً على هذا فقد تحول الاهتمام من مبدع النص أو صاحبه إلى النص نفسه. إن معرفة صاحب النص لا تقدم أو تؤخر، كما في زعم هؤلاء، في معرفة النص، واستكناه عوالمه وآفاقه، واستجلاء دقائقه وأسراره، المهم، عندهم، النص.
فهو بذاته يقدم ذاته، ويكشف بذاته عن ظاهره وباطنه، ولولاه لشالت كفة صاحبه ولانعدمت قراءته بالقوة. من هذه الجهة يمكن أن نفسّر ما انبثق عن النص من لسانياته، وبلاغته، ونحوه، وغير ذلك مما تنبجس عنه علومه أو فنياته. وذهب آخرون إلى أن النص بلا قارئ يظل منكفئاً على ذاته من غير ما حيوية فيه أو نبض يحركه. إن صلة الناقد/ القارئ بالنص تبدأ حال الانتهاء من إبداع صاحبه له أو حال الانتهاء من كتابته فتتحول ملكية النص منذئذ إلى الناقد/ القارئ والعناية تظل ما ظل رأي وما بقي نقد/ قراءة، وعلى هذا الأساس يمكن أن نفسّر الاهتمام بالناقد/ القارئ بالنشاط النقدي/ القرائي الصادر عنه ونفهم النظر في تعدد مناهج النقد/ القراءة وتفاوت مستويات النقاد/القراء، وغير ذلك مما سيظل يشير إلى أهمية الناقد/ القارئ وأثره في إغناء النص وإعادة صياغته.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن الدكتور قاسم يعمل أستاذاً للنقد الأدبي في جامعة اليرموك. وله العديد من القراءات والمؤلفات ومن أهمها: "في قراءة النص" ، "شعرية الشعر"، "وفصول في الشعر ونقده". وقد شارك في العديد من المؤتمرات المتخصصة في الأدب والنقد، محلياً وعربياً ودولياً.
