الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا عبارة عن دراسة توثيقية متواضعة، يتضمن إستعراضاً لحالة من حالات قرانا البحرينية الكثيرة المنتشرة التي لم تأخذ نصيبها بعد من الدراسة والبحث والتوثيق، وهي قرية كرزكان، إذ تعتبر هذه القرية من القرى القديمة، ولكنها لم تحظ بالقدر الكافي من التنمية والرعاية برغم وصول التعليم النظامي إليها في وقت مبكر نسبياً (1952م) وتميزها عن بقية القرى الأخرى بالمنطقة!
وذلك من أجل تسليط الضوء على مجتمعنا القروي بشكل عام من أجل تنميته وإلحاقه بركب التطور والنهضة الشاملة، وتعريف الجيل الجديد من الشباب والنشء من أهل هذه القرية على ماضيه وتاريخه والعادات التي كانت سائدة آنذاك، وتعريفه ببعض الحرف والصناعات اليدوية التي كان يمارسها الآباء والأجداد.
