الدكتور مجيد القيسي، ولد في بغداد 1951.
درس في كلية الآداب /قسم اللغة العربية 1968.
بعد تخرجه عمل مدرساً في متوسطة زرباطية، وثانوية الصويرة في محافظة واسط، وفي متوسطة الإدريسي، وثانوية عقبة بن نافع في بغداد.
غادر العراق وأقام في برلين، درس العلوم العربية والسامية في جامعة برلين الحرة 1979.
Book Description
بين يدينا معجم كيميائي متقدم يضم بين دفتيه قرابة الإثني عشر ألف مصطلح كيميائي موزعة على فروع الكيمياء المختلفة.
كما يضم جمهرة من المصطلحات الخاصة بكتابة البحوث والرسائل والأطاريح الجامعية؛ ومجموعة من مصطلحات الإحصاء والحاسوب والبرمجة.
أما المكون الأساس الآخر لهذا (المعجم) فيحتوي على المحاور الآتية:
(1) شرحاً وافياً للقواعد الكيميائية العربية والدولية (الآيوباك) والخاصة بتسمية المركيات الكيميائية المعقدة والمركبة.
(2) مختارات من الفوائد اللغوية العربية مثل كتابة الهمزة والعدد والمعدود والأوزان الصرفية والأحكام والقواعد النحوية كالإشتقاق بأنواعه: وبيان أوجه استعمالها في مجالات الكيمياء بخاصة والعلوم بعامة.
(3) شرحاً واضحاً لمنهجية (المعجم) المتعلقة ببناء المصطلح الكيميائي العربي المنهجي وآلياته ليتسنى للباحثين صياغة وتسمية مصطلحاتهم المستجدة بأنفسهم وكتابة رسائلهم وأطاريحهم وكتبهم ومقالاتهم بلغة عربية سليمة.
(4) جمهرة من السوابق واللواحق الكيميائية الدولية: مترجمة ومعربة.
(5) مختارات من الإختصارات والرموز الأجنبية وما يقابلها باللغة العربية.
