في كتابه " الإيمان بمحمد " يخوض المؤلف "النّيل عبد القادر أبو قرون" من السودان في معاني القرآن الكريم، فيما خص الرسالة النبوية لسيد الأمة وقائدها "محمد رسول الله"، صلى الله عليه وسلم.
ينطلق المؤلف من نظرية مفادها " ... النص عندي مقدس ولكن الفهم غير مقدس مع احترامي لكل صاحب رأي ولو كان مخالفاً ..." . فهل يكون إيمان المسلم ناقصا دون الإيمان بالرسول العظيم ...؟.
وفي هذا السياق، يجهد المؤلف عبر رحلته التجديدية في مثالب النص على مراجعة " ... ما وصل إلينا من مفاهيم واعتقادات بعضها يسيء إلى الحبيب صلى الله عليه وآله، أو يتناقض مع القرآن الكريم، وكأن هذا الكتاب يكمل الشق الثاني من الشهادة " لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله" التي هي أصل الإيمان والتوحيد، فثمة خطايا و أخطاء ارتكبت بحق صاحب الرسالة لا بد من الإنتباه إليها، ..!!". وهكذا لا يكتفي الشيخ أبو قرون بالمراجعة الجريئة والنقد الذي لا يهادن لما وصل إلينا من النقول، بل يسجل أيضا إشراقاته الخاصة بشأن التضليل الذي طال العلوم بلغتنا، ويتعرض إلى كثير من المسائل المتعلقة بالقمر ومنازله وتأثيره على الإنسان والنباتات، وأيضا مقصد العلم، وعلم الغيب، ومعنى العصمة، وكرامات الصالحين وغيرها ... وذلك بطريقة تستند إلى فهم خاص لتفسير القرآن الكريم وبعض الأحاديث النبوية الشريفة ما يفتح باباً واسعاً للإجتهاد والمراجعة والتمحيص.
