فرانسوا شاتليه (بالفرنسية: François Châtelet ) (1925 - 1985م)، هو فيلسوف ومؤرخ الفلسفة، ومفكر في التاريخ فرنسي. هو زوج الفيلسوفة نويل شاتليه، شقيقة ليونيل جوسبان.
هو من مواليد مدينة باريس يوم 27 أبريل 1925، حصل على دكتوراه في الآداب عام 1961، وهو مختص في تاريخ الفلسفة والفكر. وتوفي بمدينة باريس يوم 26 ديسمبر 1985.

يتناول كتاب "أيديولوجيات الحرب والسلم" أفكاراً ونظريات ناقشها المفكران "أندريه كلوكمان" و"كريستيان ديكان" من زوايا مختلفة وبأسلوب يجمع بين عمق التحليل ودلائل التجربة، ناقش الأول إيديولوجيات التعايش السلمي: من التعايش الاقناعي إلى التعايش الردعي مؤكداً أن الشعوب القادرة على خوض الحروب" تحريرية" كانت أم "قومية" أم "مقاومة" هي نفسها قادرة على السلام.
ويعالج "كلوكمان" المنطلقات النظرية والأرضية المصلحية لشعار التعايش السلمي الذي أطلقته القوتين الأعظمين في القرن العشرين مشيراً إلى أن بين الحرب والسلم، كما بين الشعوب حدود لا يستحيل تجاوزها وليس مضمونه، ولكنها موجودة رغم ذلك. فما الذي سمح أحياناً بالاتفاق حولها نسبياً... حيث أن دوافع الحرب، مثل دوافع السلم، ليست في علاقة دولة بأخرى، بل في علاقة دولة بأخرى، بل في علاقة الشعوب بالدول.
ويعتبر كلوكمان بأن الإعلان عن التعايش السلمي بأشكاله المختلفة إن هو إلا بدعة من بدع دوائر "العلاقات العامة" للسلطات القائمة، وهو يشكل بالتالي أيديولوجيات بالمعنى الأكثر ابتذالاً للكلمة، وخدعة فظة تحجب بمشاعرها الطيبة، الطريقة الفعلية التي تتخذ بها القرارات في القمة. أما "كريستيان ديكان" فقدم نقداً علمياً للإيديولوجيات الاستعمارية، ثم استعرض الإيديولوجيات التحريرية انطلاقاً من تجارب شعوب في العالم الثالث. وشرح بإسهاب نظريات قادة هذه التجارب أمثال: ماوتسي تونغ، والاستراتيجيا، جياب وهوشي منه وجبهة التحرير القومي، غيغارا ونظرية "ميتنامان أو ثلاثة جدد"، ويستطرد ديكان في بحثه إلى إيديولوجيات الصمود وصولاً غلى التمرد الذي لا ينتهي.
