في هذا الكتاب قراءة وثيقة ورؤية علمية جديدة للإسراء والمعراج، تلمس أحياناً وتتلمس أحياناً أخرى، بضصائراً من التوحيد الخالص الذي هوالمعنى الأصيل الكامن في هذا الحدث العظيم الذي شهد فيه النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بالرؤية اليقينية المتممة للإمان، والعلم في أعلى مراتبها، كبرى آيات ربه الدالة على أحدية الإله.
التوحيد هو العبادة وحقيقة الذكر الأكبر الموصول بالصلاة التي تعتبر الصلة المؤدية لهذا المقام من الذكر بسبب ذلك إرتباطت بالإسراء والمعراج إرتباطاً وثيقاً. وبشكل عام أورد المؤلف في هذه القراءة أحاديث خمسة: الحديث الأول: تناول فيه مفاهيم في الألوهية والكون، الألوهية من وحي"سبحان الذي أسرى" والكون باعتباره سماوات العروج. الحديث الثاني: ألمح فيه إلى فكرة الزمان باعتباره من صميم الجانب الإعجازي في الإسراء والمعراج الحديث الثالث: تناول فيه جوانب متصلة بالروح بالقدر المتاح حيث كان الروح الأمين، جبريل رفيق النبي صلوات الله عليه وسلامه، في الإسراء والمعراج. الحديث الرابع: في الإسراء والمعراج من مفهوم "والنجم إذا هوى". الحديث الخامس: إيحاءات من الإسراء والمعراج.
