إن تكوّن المجتمع يبدأ من تكون الأسرة، وتكوينها يبدأ من التقاء الزوجين، والمجتمع السليم ينطلق من الزواج السليم. من هنا كانت الإرشادات الإلهية تحيط بمشروع الزواج وتملؤه تأكيداً عليه ومواكبة له منذ اختيار الزوج بل قبله لتستمر المواكبة في تفصيل قرآني ونبوي وأمامي يلفت السامع ويجذب المتشوق لعروج مدارج الكمال الإنساني.
ومع كل ما يجده المطلّع من تفصيلات ترسم كتاب الزواج من المقدمة إلى الخاتمة والتي أريد منها إيصال المجتمع الإسلامي إلى النموذج الراقي الذي يقتدي به بقية البشر، نجد بعداً في مجتمعنا الإسلامي بين النظرية والتطبيق، فأكثر ما يُمارس في العلاقات الزوجية بين المسلمين لا ينسجم مع تعاليم الإسلام.
من هنا تأتي أهمية هذا الكتاب القيم الذي يقدم فيه المؤلف ثقافة الإسلام الأصيلة في موضوع الزواج الذي يحتل الدرجة الأولى من المواضيع الحساسة على المستوى الاجتماعي. وقد سبرت أنامل الكاتب أغوار هذا الموضوع منذ بداية طريق الزواج مواكباً مساره بأسلوب سلس جذّاب تزين بأنوار القرآن الكريم وباجتهادات الفقهاء، فما يعزز أصالة الفكر المطروح في هذا الكتاب.
وقد قسم المؤلف بحثه إلى ثلاثة أقسام: تناول في القسم الأول الحديث عن الزفاف أو الزواج وما ورد بشأنه في الكتاب والسنة، ثم الخطوات التي ينبغي أن تتبع لاستنساب الزوجة، وفي القسم الثاني تكلم عن خصوصيات ليلة الزفاف وآدابها. وأخيراً ذكر بعض الأخلاق البيتية التي لا يستغني عنها.
