تقدم الروائية "ميرنا شويري" قصة حب بعنصرها الألم والفراق، جاءت تحت عنوان "بغداد براغ" هي قصة البحث عن الحب الحقيقي لبطل الرواية نضال الشاب العراقي "الرسام" الذي يسافر إلى الخارج لمتابعة دراسته للحصول على الماجستير، ولكنه غير سعيد "ماذا تساوي طموحاتي وأحلامي الآن، وقد تكسر حبي على صخرة الواقع؟".
وإذا بذكرياته تأخذه إلى بداية قصة حبه في العراق، عندما يلتقي بحبه الأول "لين" المختلفة عنه في الدين، تعكس هذه الرواية الحقيقية في واقعيتها، والواقعية في سردها ووصفها لتفاصيل حال التمزق التي يعاني منها الشباب العربي بسبب اختلاف الدين بين المخبين إلى ما هنالك من عادات وتقاليد تكبل حياة الأفراد، حتة لو أراد والخروج من دائرة التقليد فإنهم سيدفعون الثمن حسب أعراف المجتمع التقليدية.
تصف الكاتبة شخصية كفاح ابنة عم "نضال" بطل الرواية ومعاناتها مع زوجها "لا أطلب منك أن تحبيني بل أطلب الطاعة فقط يا وقحة، ومن الآن وصاعداً سأربيك".
رواية صادقة تعبر بدقة وبذكاء عن أفكار متأججة وحالات نفسية وأوضاع واقعية حقيقية، وعن صراعات وتناقضات في القيم والأفكار، في مجتمعات تعيش حال من الازدواجية بين الماضي والحاضر، والمعاناة التي يعكسها هذا النمط من التفكير وسطوة التقاليد على الأفراد الذين يقعون ضحيتها.
