"الكونترا باص" عمل مسرحي هادف للكاتب الألماني باتريك زوسكند، من ترجمة "كاميران حوج".
يعد الكونترا باص من أهم الآلات الموسيقية في الأوركسترا وهي الآلة الموسيقية المركزية على المسرح. وفي هذه المونو درام ولا يوظف الكاتب إمكانات المسرح بشكل ممتاز، فنحن أمام عمل مسرحي يقوده ممثل واحد؛ بجلس طيلة الوقت في غرفة فقيرة الديكور وتتيح في نفس الوقت لممثل في متوسط العمر أن يصول ويجول على خشبة المسرح، ليظهر مواهبه في دور غني بالمشاعر الإنسانية الهادئة والصاخبة في آن. يقول الكاتب: ".. الأوركسترا نسخة طبق الأصل عن المجتمع البشري، فهنا، كما هناك، يتم احتقار الذي يقوم بالأعمال الوسخة لأجل الآخرين، بل إن الوضع في الأوركسترا أسوأ من المجتمع البشري. لأنه في المجتمع البشري يكون لي، هذا نظرياً، أمل في أن أصعد مرة إلى قمة الهرم وأن أنظر من القمة إلى الديدان تحتي... أقول لكم.. سيكون عندي أمل..".
الجدير بالذكر أن هذه المونو دراما ترجمت إلى عدة لغات، ووجدت طريقها إلى خشبات المسارح في كل أرجاء العالم، كما مثلت في أكثر من بلد عربي باللهجة العامية.
