تحت عنوان "حكاية ظل ثانٍ" يقول فيصل الهذلي: "الأرواح الشريرة تطاردني في منامي! أضع مسدساً تحت وسادتي، منذ أن أصبحت أملك ظلاً ثان! هناك من يطرق الباب الآن!".
وفي الكتاب نصوص مفتوحة على مستويات متعددة من الدلالات، تفارق المألوف والسائد يمكن أن تقرأ بأكثر من معنى من عناوينها نذكر: "هي التي.."، "اليواب"، "جينات"، "عكاز"، "موسم الحصاد"، "ضماد أسود!"، "لكنها"، "أبواب سلمى" (...) ويختتم الكتاب بقصة رمزية بعنوان "فاشية قيادي "مرور".
