كتابٌ يناقش بشكل مُركَّز وعنيد الجسد المسرحي كمخلوق له مركّبات وتقنيات تستمدّ قوّتها وتفاعلها من الجسد البشري لأنّها جزء لا يتجزأ منه، ولكون هذا الجسد نقطة المركز للأجساد الأخرى التي تتوسّع لتشمل الجسد الكليّ للكون.
هناك نزعة فلسفيّة تنظيريّة تطبيقيّة شمولية في أسلوب البحث، وميلٌ لرَبْط الجزء في الكل والكل في الجزء، ومن هنا فإنّ المجالات المختلفة من الفنون والعلوم تتوحّد حول جسد المسرح المنبعث من طاقة الجسد الآدمي، لتُشكل توجّهاً وطرحاً جديدين يؤديان في النهاية إلى تأسيس وتوضيح معالم "مسرح السيرة".
إنّه كتاب مفهوم بالبحث والتجريب والتطبيق العملي من خلال نماذج عينيّة ذاتيّة تخصّنا نحن العرب، ومحاولة واعية للإستفادة من المذاهب المسرحية العالمية، وكلّ ذلك مقدّم بأسلوب البحث الإبداعي العلمي السَّردي الحكائي المقارن والشّيّق، ويأتي ضمن ما تسعى الهيئة العربية للمسرح لتوفيره كمفاتيح للمشتغلين بالمسرح، حتى يمكّنهم متابعة مستجدات المسرح عربياً ودولياً، إذ تُوفّر لهم مثل هذه الدراسات ما هو جديد وما هو مهم، سواء في قضايا المسرح المعاصر، أو بشأن مفاهيم وأطروحات المسرح في بيئات متباينة في زمن صار فيه من الضروري أن يواجه المشتغل بالمسرح همومه بنحو جديد، وبصِيَغ جديدة، وأمام جمهور متجدِّد وجديد.
إن هذا الكتاب واحد من هذه الإصدارات الجديدة التي تعنى بتوفير تنوير وتوعية علمية، تهدف إلى ذائقة جمالية تواكب المتغيرات وتؤكد الذات.
