موضوع هذا الكتاب هو التعاقد عن طريق الإنترنت ، محاولاً المقاربة القانونية للتعاقد عن طريق الإنترنت مع النظرية العامة للعقد، حيث يثار التساؤل عن مدى قانونية ومشروعية هذا النوع من التعاقد؟ وما هو المجال القانوني الذي يحتوي هذا النوع من التعاقد؟ وما مدى اقترابه أو ابتعاده عن وسائل الاتصال الفوري الأخر (الهاتف، التلكس، الفاكس). خصص الكتاب في البدايه فصلاً للأبعاد القانونية والتعاقدية لشبكة الإنترنت؛ فتحدث في هذا الفصل عن مدى مشروعية التعاقد عن طريق الإنترنت ومبررات هذه المشروعية أما الفصل الأول منه فكان للتعبير عن الإرادة، فعرض فيه لوجود الإرادة والتعبير عنها ذلك أنه لا بد لإبرام العقد من توافر الرضى، ولكي يتوافر لابد من وجود إرادة تتجه الى إحداث أثر قانوني؛ إذا تناول فيه التعبير عن الإرادة وفقا للقواعد العامة، والتطرق الى التعبير عن الإرادة عن طريق الإنترنت وفي الفصل الثاني: تعرض الكتاب لتلاقي الإراديتين وتطابقهما، وقسم هذا الفصل الى البحث في ثلاثة موضوعات: الإيجاب، اقتران القبول بالإيجاب، والقبول أما الفصل الثالث ففيه عرض للمرحلة التمهيدية للتعاقد ولحالات خاصة في التعاقد، لذا استوجب الكتاب البحث في المرحلة السابقة للتعاقد، وعرض حالات خاصة في التعاقد.
