بمعيّة الخيال، خضت رحلاتي الأولى، سافرت كثيراً في طفولتي، أبحرت على متن المركب الخشبيّ للسندباد، حلقت مع علاء الدين والجنيّ الأزرق وبساطه الطائر، ركبت قطار الشرق السريع وسفينة تايتنك وهودج ابن بطوطة وقوافل التجار على طريق الحرير، أخذتني عناية عبر إبريقها المسحور إلى رحلاتٍ في الزمن، ومنذ ذلك الحين، لم أعد.
لم أعد لواقعي أو زماني أو مدينتي، تاهت روحي الطفلة في المدائن والأزمان والشخوص والموانئ والمطارات ومحطات الرحيل والأساطير والمجهول، كبرت ورحت أطاردها، كلما استعدتها من مكانٍ ما أفلتت مني وهربت لآخر.
في هذا المخطوط، محاولة لإستعادة الأسطورة، البحث عنها تحت ركام الحاضر وتلمس المُدن كما كانت في البدء، في الذكرى والمخيلة.
