يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى القضاء على الضعف في مادة اللغة العربية عند الأطفال و ذلك ضمن مباحث ضمها هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه في المبحث الأول يعرف الرسم هو تصوير اللفظ بحروف هجائية و يدخل ضمن هذا التعريف الخط و الكتابة و يتدرج إلى أنواع الرسم، الرسم العثماني فالرسم العروضي و الرسم القياسي كالهمزة و الألف في آخر الكلمة و الحروف التي تزداد و ما يوصل بغيره و علامات الترقيم و ينتقل إلى الضبط و ميادينه نقط الإعراب و نقط الإعجام و ميادين الضبط و علاماته و الفرق بين الضبط و الرسم و يتناول في المبحث الثاني الحروف العربية مؤكدا أن الهمزة و الألف حرفان أساسيان و أحرف المد و الحركات و هي الألف المفتوح ما قبلها و الياء المكسور ما قبلها و الواو المضموم ما قبلها و ينتقل إلى اللام الشمسية و اللام القمرية و التاء المربوطة و التاء المفتوحة و الهمزة في أول الكلمة ووسطها و آخرها و متى تحذف و همزة الوصل و أين توجد و الألف اللينة في الكلمة و كيف تكتب في نهاية الكلمة سواء أكانت فعلا أو اسما أو حرفا و ينتقل إلى زيادة الحروف زيادة الألف في طرف الكلمة مثل اذهبوا و لن يذهبوا و زيادتها في منتصف الكلمة كمائة و زيادة الواو كأولئك في وسط الكلمة و في آخرها كعمرو و هاء السكت ك (عِه) كلامي و يشير إلى حذف آخر الكلمة في الأفعال و الأسماء و الوصل و الفصل و إلى التنوين هو نون ساكنة زائدة تلحق آخر الاسم لفظا و تفارقه خطا ثم يتناول الإعلال و الإبدال في وزن منفعل و الفرق بين الضاد و الظاء و علامات الترقيم.
