في هذا الكتاب سيلحظ القارئ أني لم ألتزم طرق البحث المعروفة والمألوفة، ذلك كوني أكتب كتاباً ذاتياً بالدرجة الأولى كما هو واضح من عنوانه - وهو، وإن كان ذاتياً في عنوانه ومضمونه، غير أنه عام بقدر ما هو ذاتي، وآية ذلك، نتيجة إحتكاكي اليومي ومعايشتي الشخصية للقضايا المجتمعية والسياسية الراهنة على مدار الساعة، ولا أكون قد بالغت حال قلت إنها قضايا باتت تؤرقني على الصعيد الشخصي، لا سيّما أن أغلبنا نحن السوريين يناقش ويجادل وبحماس منقطع النظير جانباً لا بأس فيه مما ورد في هذا الكتاب، لكن في الغرف المغلقة وخلف الأبواب الموصدة جيداً، لا بل والمحكمة الإغلاق!.
ومن البديهي أن تكون كل قضية تؤثر فيّ، وفي غيري، سلباً أو إيجاباً، لن تعود، على الأقل من وجهة نظري المتواضعة، قضية ذاتية، إذ سرعان ما سترتقي لتصبح شأناً عاماً!.
إنطلاقاً من هنا حاولت، قدر المستطاع، أن أكون شفافاً في بوحي، صادقاً مع نفسي ومع الآخر الذي أخاطبه من أي موقع كان هذا أو ذاك الاخر، ومن دون أن أضع في الحسبان أن ذلك البوح قد يُضيف إلى رصيدي الكثير من العداوات، وربما الأصدقاء، تماماً كما لم أفكر فيما إذا كان ما أطرحه في بوحي هذا سيرضي أناساً كثيرين قبالة إنزعاج كثيرين آخرين.
