بينما هي تنظر في المرآة، تخال أميرة نفسها أنها أسعد امرأة في الوجود، سوف تودع عذاباتها وجحيم وصفها بـ"مطلقة" إلى الأبد؛ تلك الكلمة البغيضة التي رافقتها طوال خمس سنوات.
أخيراً في هذه الليلة، ستدخل أميرة عالم الزوجية مجدداً، دعت كل صديقاتها وجميع نساء أهلها كي يحتفلن معها في ليلة سعادتها.
أشرفت أميرة بنفسها على كل شيء كي تليق الحفلة بأميرة.
صديقاتها يهنئنها ويباركن لها زواجها الميمون، كلهن سعيدات من أجلها، شاركنها الغناء والرقص، والتقطن الصور معها.
دقت ساعة الصفر معلنة مجيء العريس؛ بين لحظة وأخرى وسوف تعلن أميرة دخول طارق إلى الصالة، فقط تنتظر مكالمة منه كي تعلن ذلك.
مضت خمس دقائق! وعشر دقائق! وربع ساعة! ولم يتصل طارق.. ماذا جرى لطارق؟... ما الذي أخره؟... هل اتصل به؟... تحدث نفسها.. لكنهما اتفقا على أنه هو من يتصل.. بان القلق في عينيها.
