أنا سيّدة مانوار (Manoir) بعضُ النساء اللواتي عشن كما عشتُ، يدخلن المعبد، يتُبن من خطاياهن، ويرجن عشرين مرّة العفو عن أخطائهن في اليوم على أمل أن تكونَ هذهِ التقوى تؤمّن لهن مكاناً في الجنّة، أنا ندرتُ نفسي للأعمال الخيرية أنا كريمةٌ، أبنائي ماتوا ومع ذلك أنا أعيش، عند هذا قررتُ أن أكتبَ سيرتي وستكون طريقة جديدة لأن أعيشَ من جديد كلّ شيء.
سأحاولُ تصويرَ أنفسنا كما كُنّا، مثلثاً وهّاجاً كلّ نقطة فيه تشعُ على الإثنين الآخرين ببريقٍ يخطفُ الأبصار وأنا المهمّة لهما على الرغم من قوتهما، مشاعري المخيفة هزّت هذا الثلاثي أنا والملكة وروبير.
