يحتوي هذا الكتاب وهو الرابع من سلسلة "التعليم التدريجي للنحو" على دروس نحوية، يستفيد منها المتعلم، فيبحث من خلالها ما فاته من القواعد النحوية، ويستدرك من خلالها أيضاً ما بقي من الفوائد، وبالتالي يستلخص منه كل ما يحتاج إليه من دروس نحوية هامة، وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن هذا الكتاب هو من إعداد قلة من الأساتذة المعروفين بعلمهم ومعرفتهم وثقافتهم وأخلاقهم وهم حنفي ناصف، محمد دياب، مصطفى طموم، محمود عمر وسلطان ومحمد.
ولما كان لهذا الكتاب كل هذه الأهمية والفائدة نقداً عن "محمد أنيس مهرات" بتحقيقه وبتحرير نصه وضبط مواده النحوية وحتى يحقق الكتاب فائدته التعليمية المرجوة فقد اعتنى المحقق أولاً بإبقاء النص الأصلي على حاله، كما وضعه مؤلفوه بمتنه وحواشيه، وبالتالي لم يثقله بالتعليقات والتعقيبات، حتى لا ينشغل القارئ بين الأصل وزياداته، فيضيع بينهما.
وثم ثم اعتنى ببعض الأمور التي تخدم النص والقارئ معاً، فاهتم بضبط النص وبشكل خاص الأمثلة والشواهد، لما لها من الأهمية البالغة، إذ هي حوار تلك القواعد، وهي التي توضيحها وتثبتها. كما حرص على ضبط مصادر الشواهد التي تم إثباتها في نص الكتاب فرجع إلى القرآن الكريم لضبط الآيات القرآنية، وإلى كتب الحديث لضبط الأحاديث النبوية، وإلى كتب النحو لضبط الشواهد العشرية، وما يجري مجراها من الأمثال والأمثلة التقليدية.
يبحث الكتاب في المواضيع التالية: الكلام على الفعل: الماضي والمضارع والأمر, المجرد والمزيد, الجامد والمتصرف, الصحيح والمعتل, التام والناقص, اللازم والمتعدي, المبني للمعلوم والمبني للمجهول, المؤكد وغيره, المبني والمعرب. الكلام على الاسم: الجامد والمشتق, المجرد والمزيد, المقصور والمنقوص والصحيح, المفرد والمثنى والجمع, المذكر والمؤنث, النكرة والمعرفة, تقسيم الاسم إلى منون وغير منون, المبني والمعرب, المكبر والمصغر, المنسوب وغير المنسوب. الكلام على الحرف: الأحادية, الثنائية.
