هذا كتاب في قواعد اللغة العربية روعي فيه حالة النص، كما وضعه مؤلفوه، بمتنه وحواشيه، كما واعتني فيه ببعض الأمور التي تخدم النص والقارئ معاً، فتم الاجتماع بضبط النص وبشكل خاص، الأمثلة والشواهد، كما لها من الأهمية البالغة، إذ هي مدار تلك القواعد، وهي التي توضحها وتثبتها.
وحرض على أن يكون لكل مثال وشاهدين قوسين لتتحدد بدايته ونهايته، ورجع عند إعداد إلى مصادر هذه الشواهد، لضبطها بشكل دقيق فرجع إلى القرآن الكريم لضبط الآيات القرآنية، وإلى كتب الحديث الشريف لضبط الأحاديث النبوية، وإلى كتب النحو لضبط الشواهد الشعرية، وما يجري مجراها من الأمثال والأمثلة التقليدية.
كما اعتني بعلامات الترقيم، إذ أن هذه العلامات تساعد على ضبط النص وتوضيحه، وبدونها تتداخل الجمل، ويضطرب مدلولها في ذهن المتعلم.
وكذلك قسك كل بحث من الأبحاث إلى مقاطع صغيرة بحيث يتناول كل مقطع منها فكرة أو قاعدة أو ملاحظة أو فائدة، فيأمن القارئ بذلك تداخل القواعد وتشابكها.
