يتناول هذا الكتاب في طياته سيرة الأنبياء والمرسلين(عليهم السلام)، وسيرة نبينا محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) وسيرة أهل البيت (عليهم السلام) وصحبه الكرام، مقتصرا على أخبارهم وسيرتهم، حيث ابتدأ الكاتب بذكر سيرة أول خليفة لله على الأرض آدم (عليه السلام) لقوله تعالى (إني جاعل في الأرض خليفة) ذاكرا سيرته وحاله والبلاد التي حل بها إلى وفاته (عليه السلام)، وكذا سيرة خلفائه من بعده الواحد تلو الآخر، وهكذا دواليك حتى أتى على ذكرهم صلى الله عليهم أجمعين إلى النبي عيسى (عليه السلام) وذلك من خلال بحث وتنقيب في بطون التاريخ والتفسير والسير. جامعا ما طمست حقيقته، وعفيت معالمه وبقيت آثاره، في حلة جديدة وأسماه: خليفة الله. إلى جانب ذلك تحدث في العلة أو السبب، أو الكيفية التي من أجلها خلق الله تبارك وتعالى السماوات والأرضين، والجنة والنار والشمس والقمر والليل والنهار وما إلى غير ذلك من مخلوقات الله جل وعلا، مستندا إلى الأدلة الأربعة التي عليها مدار البحث.
أولها: ما نص عليه القرآن الكريم والكتب السماوية المعتبرة: كالتوراة والإنجيل الموافقة للنص الشريف.
وثانيها: الحديث المأثور من الأخبار عن النبي والأئمة رضي الله عنهم، ثم الصحابة رضي الله عنهم، الذين نقلوا إلينا ما ائتمنوا عليه من حديث.
وثالثها: إجتهاد أئمة المسلمين، الذين محصوا الحديث الطيب من الخبيث، والسمين من الغثيث على مر القرون وإلى يومنا هذا.
ورابعها: العقل الذي به تتم الفائدة، فنقول وعليه الإتكال.
