ويعالج الجزء الأول، بالعرض والتحليل عدداً من الموضوعات التي تدخل في إطار نظرية التجارة الدولية، ولقد قدم هذا الجزء أهم المناهج الكلاسيكية والحديثة في نظرية التجارة الدولية، لكي يطلع الطالب الجامعي والمتخصص في هذا المجال على أهم التطورات الحديثة التي عرفها هذا التخصص خلال النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين، ولا تدعي أننا سنأتي بجديد في هذا الموضوع.
فهناك الكثير من المراجع عن "الإقتصاد الدولي" و"التجارة الدولية"، وكلها متشابهة، ولها تقريباً التقسيمات نفسها وتعالج الموضوعات نفسها.
