لقد دلت البحوث إن إستخدام التكنولوجيا داخل الغرفة الصفية له تأثير إيجابي كبير على تعلم التلاميذ وذلك عندما تكون أهداف التعلم واضحة ومفصّلة ومصاغة جيداً أي مخطط لها بعناية قبل إستخدام التكنولوجيا، إذ إنه يزيد الدافعية نحو التعلم ويطور مهارة حل المشكلات ويدعم نمو التفكير الناقد ويدرّبه على تحليل المعلومات لإتخاذ قرار بشأنها وإختيار الأصلح له، كما يشجع على التعلم التعاوني ويدعمه فيصقل شخصية المتعلم وينمّيها ويدفعه نحو التعلم الذاتي.
