بني هذا الكتاب على أطروحة قدمت إلى العمدة المختصر في كلية بيروت الإدارية، وهو تعريب لكتاب "Bids and estimates part 1" للمؤلف ملحم أبو شديد نفسه الصادر عام 1997 وهو ينصح به كدليل للنهج الواجب أتابعه في المناقصات العائدة للمشاريع الإنشائية الكبرى.
