كتاب المناقصات والتثمين في المشاريع الإنشائية هو الجزء الثالث والأخير وهو الترجمة لنفس الكتاب باللغة الإنكليزية للدكتور ملحم أبو شديد.
الجزء الأول شرح المبادئ العامة التي تقوم عليها أعمال تثمين المناقصات، الجزء الثاني هو تكملة للجزء الأول ويشرح مختلف العمليات المتداخلة في صناعة البناء، أما تفصيل العمليات التي يعالجها الجزء الثاني فتشمل معالجة المواضيع المتعلقة بالأشغال الإنشائية بما فيها توصيف الأشغال وخصائص المواد المستعملة، وطرق إستخراج هذه المواد، ومناهج أداء اليد العاملة، وإستخدام فرق التنفيذ، وإختيار المعدات اللازمة لإنجاز هذه الأشغال وكذلك الإنتاجية اليومية لفرق التنفيذ.
الجزء الثالث يختص بتنظيم مناهج ثابتة للتعامل مع المشاريع الإنشائية الكبرى، بما في ذلك التنسيق والمراقبة، وكذلك تشغيل الكسارات ومعامل خرسانة الأسفلت، وتكوين أسعار الكلفة، وتنفيذ عقود العمل، وكذلك إستعمال الكمبيوتر في مراقبة التنفيذ.
