شعرية الكنتاوي لبكم لها طزاجتها وسخونتها وتميزها بلا إحالات أو تماس، فهو الشاعر الذي يسكن بنصه عالم التأمل وترتقي روحه بموسيقى سلالمها أمواجاً. في مجموعته الشعرية الجديدة "التنكيل بسيرة الحب" تنبثق الرؤيا في طقس أيقوني تتداخل وتتواشج عناصره في موتيفات سحرية تؤسسها ذاكرة حياتية محتشدة بكل عناصر الألم، في (محاولة شخصية لمواجهة العالم) العنوان الذي اختاره الشاعر لإحدى قصائد المجموعة للتعبير عن سخريته لهذا العالم: "... لا أحد يعرفني، سأعرض عضلاتي في شارع الضعف، أُهشم أنفي، لأنه لم يدلني إلى وردة، أمنحها لرائحة الحريق، في ثياب حياتي، لو يأتي عام عبثيٌ، ويُسلمني ذائقته لأفتح غيمة في الورقة، أوراقي تساقطت تباعاً، في مهماتها الإنسانية، هل كنت إنساناً تُسند إليه الدمعة رقتها؟...".
هكذا يسائل الشاعر ابن الإنسان عما فعله بأخيه الإنسان في رؤية مثقلة بضجيج الوجود والكون والأشياء، والكائنات وحلم الأنا الشاعرة لعالم بلا حروب وكله صفاء "بلا حروب، أسلحتنا عاطفية، موجهة كرسائل قصيرة، فقط (..)، نحن العاطلين، نحمل على أكتاف العالم صناديق حياتنا.."، عبر هذه اللغة يدفع الشاعر الكنتاوي لبكم بشعرية قصائده من مستوى الرؤية الداخلية للخطاب إلى الخارج باستدعاء كل عناصر الحسّ الإنساني الرفيع في تجسداته الذهنية والحسية، ما يضفي على النص نكهة خاصة، أو بالأحرى نكهة مغاربية خاصة نتذوقها شعراً يقرأ.
تضمّ المجموعة قصائد في الشعر العربي الحديث ومقطعات شعرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "ملهاة"، "نشيد الأصفياء"، "إجازة"، "كان وأعداؤها"، "فراغ"، "صديقة التمة الذي عاهد نجومك"، "الحائط"، "النبيذ"، وعناوين أخرى.
