بين مشهد وصول "خالداً " إلى مطار "شارل دي غول" متوجهاً إلى شواطىء بياريتز للمرة الثالثة في رواية (سراب الياسمين) للروائي الفلسطيني محمد عاطف عريقات، وبين مشهد رجوعه إلى أرض الوطن، يشكل الحب الطرف الناقص في الحكاية، والذي لا تكتمل حكاية خالداً إلا به، حيث تنشأ بينه وبين "رنين" الفتاة التي التقاها في باريس قصة حب لم تكتمل صفحاتها حتى آخر سطر في الرواية ... "أغلقتُ سماعة الهاتف وأرسلتُ برسالة إلى ياسر أخبره بأن موعد قدومي قد تغير وأنني سأكون عنده بعد يومين، فتحتُ نوافذ قلبي أخيراً ومع انقشاع الغيوم السوداء عادت الشمس لتثبت في داخلي الحياة من جديد، يا نرجسي الجميل سأعود إلى من تحبك، يا سماء فرنسا لا تستعجلي الغروب، يا بحر بياريتز احتفظ بأمواجك ريثما أطل عليك من شرفتي، إنتظريني يا رنين".
كاتبنا فتى جامعي مقدسي يطلق العنان لنفسه جاعلاً خياله المشتعل مركبة تحملها وتخترق بها تلك الطبقة التي تجثم بسوادها على حياة الفلسطيني، فتحلق بها في أجواء انسيابية كتلك التي تصل الفضاء بالزمان في نقاط كونية، تختفي عندها الفواصل بين الماضي والحاضر والمستقبل، كما بين إنسان الواقع وإنسان الرواية، وكأن بنا عندئذ نعيش في بعدين أو أكثر، أحدهما تمثله حبيبة الصبا عاشقة الأرض والمستضعفين عليها، والآخر حبيبته في الغربة الفرنسية التي تغشم عينيها تلك الطبقة حالكة السواد، والتي لا تسمح للضوء الاعلامي الغربي باختراقها ليصل الى معرفة البؤس تحت الاحتلال، والتي يغذي وجودها غربة المنفي عن وطنه. فنجد بطلنا منغرساً في الثرى محلقاً في ثريا الخيال والعوالم الافتراضية، راوياً هنيهة ثم مروياً عنه وكأن الشخصيات تختلط بعضها ببعض، كما الزمان والظرف، عند تلك الفواصل الكونية التي تنسف بجبروتها منطق الأبعاد الثلاثية.
