لا نبالغ إذا قلنا إن رجاء الطالبي كاتبة تحاول أن تؤسس مفهوماً مختلفاً للكتابة، أو الأصح أنها تؤسس الاختلاف في الكتابة: فهي تكتب الأدب، لكنها ترفض الكتابة داخل جنس أدبي محدد. وهي تكتب المرأة، تكتب جسدها وأنوثتها، تكتب امرأة المرآة، ولكن بلغة روحية تنفذ إلى ما هو أعمق من التمييز الجنسي بين الذكر والأنثى، فهي لا تقول الذات إلا في علاقتها بآخرها، لا تقول إلا لقاءه أو فقدانه، لا تقول إلا آخر الذات، ذلك المفقود المغيب لكنه المشتهى والمرغوب.
يمكن القول إننا أمام نصوص تشيد نوعاً من الكتابة العابرة للأجناس، أدبياً وجنسياً، فهي يوميات عاشق أبيقوري، لا يمكنك أكنت ذكراً أو أنثى "أن تخرج من قراءتها نفس الشخص الذي وطئ أولى عتباتها، لأنها تمس فم الجرح فيك، الجرح الوجودي المتغذي من استحالة التحققات التي غذى نشدنها زوبعة وجودك الحسي". وهي بمعنى آخر، حديقة أبيقور حيث الولع بذلك الضوء الصوفي لمدننا، لمكاننا، لذاتنا، لآخرنا، وحيث البحث عن ذلك المفقود، عن ذلك الآخر الذي مبعثه ما لا يرى، وما لا يلمس.
وبعبارة أخرى، تتقدم الكتابة في نصوص رجاء الطالبي تمجيداً لذلك الصعب العسير الامتلاك، ذلك اللامرئي واللاملموس. فهي عين أخرى منزاحة عن الواقع ومنكبة على استجلاء عسير الامتلاك وعسير الرؤية والإنصات. وهذه العين تحول الكتابة إلى شفافية كبرة، إلى نزيف الشفافية، لأنها تكتب الصمت والبياض، تكتب تلك الأعماق المجهولة التي تنتظرنا كلما تحررنا من قهر الحياة الخارجية تكتب سؤال الوجود، ووجودنا اليوم أكثر من أي وقت آخر صار، على حد تعبير صديقنا محمد معتصم، وجوداً بالاستعارة.
