من هنا كانت بُنية الرواية متدفقة كسمفونية عشق ابدي لامرأة هي ( ريتاج ) الباحثة عن حلمها الخاص على مسرح الحياة ، والتي وجدت نفسها تمارس دوراً آخر ، هو أكثر واقعية : هي إبنة لأب " مبادئه لا تتجاوز السهر ليلاً ... شرب الكحول حتى السكر ، ومعاشرة ما طاب له من النساء ! " هو من تعتبره قاتل أمها إبنة أعرق العائلات في بلدها ، ولكنه خذلها بقدر حبها له .. سرق من حياة إبنته الأمان ، والثقة بالرجال ، ورغم ذلك تابعت حياتها تعلمت في كلية الإعلام ، وعملت في واحد من الفنادق الكبرى كمسؤولة عن كل المناسبات الهامة والإجتماعات والحفلات التي تقام في هذا الفندق ، أثبتت جدارتها في العمل ، حتى جاء ذلك اليوم الذي طُلب منها فيه أن تُحضّر قاعة الإستقبال لمناسبة سوف يتم فيها ( حفل خيري ) على شرف رجل الأعمال توفيق الفارس الذي رأى فيها أميرته المنتظرة ، لتبدأ معها الحياة قصة أخرى هي مزيج من الفرح والدموع ...
من أجواء الرواية نقرأ :
" ... فتاة من العهد القديم ، امرأة من الطراز الفاخر ، لا تعلم أن الهروب أحياناً شجاعة ، والإنسحاب في الوقت الملائم إنتصار ، تغامر بكل ما لديها ... تعشق بوعي وإصرار ، سلمته مصيرها منذ أول رقصة ، وبعد آخر رقصة ، مرة أخرى تعيد الكرة ، ترافق الإنتظار ... ! تتنازل عن عرشها لتصبح أميرة من أميراته ، ترضى بالحب وهي تحترق بالعشق ، تستبدل كل يوم ألم قديم آخر ... لتشتاق الفرح ، لم تستطع الرحيل ... تركت له حرية الإختيار ... " .
