في مجموعتها الشعرية "طائر غريب يهيم فوق رؤوسهم" تتجه "أضواء الصالح" نحو القصيدة الحسية، المكتنزة بتوترات الرغبة، الذاهبة إلى رسم معالم الحرمان والفقد والإنتظار" يعجبك أنك تتركني تحت سطوة الإحتمالات/ بين النعم واللا (...) وحين أمشي نحو عزلتي/ وأترك لك رائحتي وكبرياء مجروحة/ تجن وتصير تتبعني حتى النهاية ..." وهي قصائد لا تخشى البتة مواجهة مكنونات الجسد وإطلاق سراح الرغبة الكامنة حيث يلعب الفضاء الدلالي دوره في هذه القصائد. ففي القصيدة التي افتتحت بها المجموعة ]ألعق جرحي وعيني على السماء[ تقول الشاعرة: "بعدك لم أعرف أحدا من الرجال/ فكل الرجال هم أنت/ بعدك صار للخطيئة طعم وخّاز/ وصوت قبيح كنعيق الغراب/ بعدك الذنوب ضيقة (...) بعدك لم أفهم إلا وجهاً واحداً للذة/ ولم أشأ أن أفسد طعمها وأنا أتذوق/ جلود الرجال ولا أجد طعمك المستحيل (...) ".
وهكذا استطاعت الشاعرة الصالح أن تلامس أوهام النفس في صحوها وأحلامها وهي تواجه أعقد مشكلة تواجهها البشرية منذ الخطيئة الأولى التي ما زال ناقوسها يرن في النفوس سواء لدى الرجل أو الأنثى.
يضم الكتاب (26) قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "يوم الفصل" ، "أولى العقبات إلى الجنة" ، "في صدري شهقتان" ، "أحب" ، "كينونات" ... الخ.
