في سيمياء الحلم، قصائد تقاتل حتى آخر حرف، تتبلل بالدمع حيناً وتطير بأجنحة من امل حيناً أخرى، وهذا هو حال الشاعرة البحرينية "زهراء المتفوي" وهي تعيد رسم معالم الحياة حين تستحيل الأماني، وتغيب الأحلام، وفي قسوة الواقع. هكذا هي شاعرتنا الشعر عندها وحياً وإلهاماً يساعد على الخلق والإبداع، ولكي تصل لضفة الشعر كما تقول ".. لا بد من قارب المجاز، الحروف ليست صماء، ولا تلتزم الصمت، إنها تخلق وترسم وترقص وتتلون، والناظر المتوسم لن يرى من الإسم والفعل سوى تشبيهات تمثيلية تضج باللون والصوت والحركة، أتمنى فقط لكل من يدخل السيمياء أن لا يخرج منها، لنحقق الحلم معاً في أول "وقفة على أعتاب الحاء" ومروراً بـ "أشهى غابات العطر" وانتهاء بـ"ذاكرة الظمأ".
من القصيدة التي تفتتح بها الديوان [ وقفة على اعتاب الحاء] نقرأ: "الحاء/ بين حمائمي تلتاح/ من فكرة للورد لا تنزاح/ وتقر/ من رئتي السعادة/ حينما/ يتنفس/ الليل الذبيح صباح/ وأثور/ ينفرط الجمان/ ويشتكي/ فلَ وينحب في الضلوع أقاح/ من أنت؟(...)"؟
يضم الكتاب (33) قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "ناشئة الدمع!"، "نهنهة في محراب الضوء"، "لماذا الحسين؟"، سيمياء الحلم"، "جدلية الحب"... الخ.
