يعد النّصُ الشّعري الجاهلي رافداً ثرّاً لكل الأنساق الثقافية السائدة، ومؤسساً لجميع الرواسب التاريخية والحضارية، وتركة فكرية وإبداعية، وأنموذجاً model سامقاً للكتابة الشعرية، وحِصناً منيعاً لمنظومتنا الثقافية، وصورةً للمجد والبطولة، وبالجملة هو العقل الظاهر والباطن للإنسان العربي.
ولم يكن ذاك كذلك، إلا لأنّ الشاعر الجاهلي كان في سباق مع الوجود؛ يكتنه ذاته، ويبعج أسراره، ويبحث عن عوالم مستقرة، تأنس لها إنسانيته الخائفة الوجلة من صروف الدهر وتقلباته، ذلك أن إستقرار النّفس البشرية - فكراً وسلوكاً - يستدعي رسمَ إطارٍ قارِّ وثابت ونمطي، مما دفع بالإنسان العربي إلى بناء "الأنموذج" الذي يعني "تصوراً مثالياً" تنتهي عنده كل الأشكال الفكرية والثّقافية والإبداعية، أو هو الصورة المثلى لكل التجارب الحياتية والفنية التي ينبغي إحتذاءُ أثرها، ومحاكاةُ منوالها، بغرض تجسيدٍ أسمى لوعي الحضارة والثقافة العربية، ذلك أن أفضل العوالم وأجملها وأرقاها وأسماها هي التي يقدمها "الأنموذج".
من هنا جاء البحث ليرصد فكرة الأنموذج في الشّعر الجاهلي من منظور أنّ الشّعر الجاهلي مبني على فكر أيقوني على حدّ قول نصرت عبد الرحمن في كتابه الصورة الفنية في الشعر الجاهلي، من هنا كانت "الأيقونة" (Icône) تعكس التجلي المختزل في اللاوعي الجاهلي، وتترجم التراكمات المعرفية والثقافية والفنية للحضارة العربية الجاهلية؛ لتصبح بذلك تلك "الأيقونة" محراباً على قبلته، يؤدي المبدعون صلواتهم الشعرية، وقُدَّاساً على ترانيمه يردد الشعراء نشيدهم الخالد وصداهم السرمدي.
