"هبول" ولد لعوب يحب اللهو والنزهات وتسلق الأشجار، يمضي معظم وقته في المزرعة يلاحق الخراف والدجاج ويلحق الطيور إلى أعشاشها، ولا يعود إلا في المساء وقد أنهكه التعب، و"هبول" رغم بلوغه هذا السن لا يحب أن يقص شعر رأسه ويرفض أن يزور دكان الحلاق. فطال شعره كثيراً وبدأ الناس والأصدقاء ينادونه بالمكنسة لأن رأسه ذا الشعر الكثيف كان يشبه رأس المكنسة، ومع ذلك كان سعيداً بما هو عليه، ولكن لم يخطر بباله أن تغييراً جذرياً بات قريباً منه، وأنه لا بد صائرٌ إلى غير ما هو عليه، فما هو التغيير الذي سيطرأ على حياة "هبول"؟
هي محاولة لتوجيه الطفل إلى الاعتناء بمظهره ليمنع عنه سخرية الآخرين، فالطفل الذي لا يعتني بجسمه وهو أمانة عنده، وإذا أهمل مظهره أو لم يقم بما يفرضه عليه مجتمعه أصبح سخرية للآخرين وموضع تندر بتعليقات تسيئ إليه، فعلى الطفل أن يعتني بجسمه ويراعي متطلبات مظهره.
