يتناول هذا الكتاب الخطوط العريضة لعلم الطب عند الإمام موسى الكاظم وقد تناولها بالشرح والإيضاح حيث يعرض في مدخل الكتاب أسس الوقاية والعلاج ثم يتناول أبواب حفظ الصحة، وأبواب فضل الحجامة وأوقاتها وأبواب علم الأدوية والأغذية التي جاءت على لسانه الشريف مرتبة على حروف المعجم ثم يعرض فيما بعد لما يتعلق بالمريض وأبواب العلاج الروحي وأبواب حال بعض العلل والأمراض وأسبابها وطرق علاجها.
