"قبس من نور" ينثره الشيخ حسن الشمري الحائري على صفحات الكتاب تمتلئ بما قاله الإمام موسى الكاظم عن بناء الإنسان أو بعبارة أخرى (ترشيده) سواء في المجال العقلي أو النفسي أو الفطري، وهنا تكمن أهمية ما يورده هذا الكتاب بتأكيده على أهمية القيم الإسلامية التي جاء بها الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم والأئمة رضي الله عنهم الذين توافد عليهم الناس من كل حدب وصوب لينهلوا من علمهم وحكمتهم وأهمهم الإمام موسى الكاظم الذي يتحدث عنه هذا الكتاب إضافة إلى الإمام الباقر والإمام الصادق وغيرهم كثير، مع قبسات مهمة ذات دلالة من كتبهم ومواعظهم وإرشاداتهم والتي يأتي في طليعتها الحديث عن (الإمامة) باعتبار أن الأمة بعد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كانت بأمسَ الحاجة إلى قائد وخليفة لرد الفتن إقامة الدين ونشره في الأصقاع وقتال الكافرين، بغية الحفاظ على كيان الدولة الإسلامية ووحدتها من خلال الإحتفاظ بمكانة الرسول بعد مماته عليه الصلاة والسلام.
وبناءً على ما تقدم توزع الكتاب على إحدى عشرو فصلاً نذكر عناوينها: طكل إمام يثبت دوراً للرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم"، "النص على الإمام موسى بن جعفر"، "الإمام موسى الكاظم عليه السلام مع حكام عصره"، "وصية الإمام موسى بن جعفر عليه السلام لهشام بن الحكم"... الخ.
