"أنا شخص جاهل بالتاريخ والجغرافيا، ولكنهم يقولون، إننا ساميون، وأولاد عم، من جزيرة واحدة، وأننا تحالفنا ذات ليلة في الأندلس، وتصاهرنا، وتعاركنا في أكثر من خندق، أيها اليهودي لا أعرفك إلا طياراً يغط من خلف غيمة، ممتطياً دبابة أو مدفعاً يحرق الأخضر واليابس، الأصفر والأزرق، وكل ألوان البلاد والعباد.
أيها اليهودي لا أعرفك إلا مكوم البيوت، عاصب العيون والبحار، هاتك الأعراض، داعساً على المصاحف والأناجيل، ناتفاً لحي الرجال والجبال. سافراً مني في الأفلام والأقلام شاتماً أنبيائي وقاطعاً صلاتي، مانح القرض، رافع الفوائد، حاصد الديوان، يا مدير مصرف العالم والكون، أيها اليهودي لا أعرفك إلا كارهاً ومكروهاً. ناهب الماء والهواء، مطارداً لي في مطارات العالم، محققاً في محاكم اللجوء السياسي، مهجراً أو مبعداً، وزارع المعتقلات والأسلاك.
أيها اليهودي لا أعرفك إلا موزع الشظايا العنقودية وجوائز نوبل، والقروض الطويلة والقصيرة. وزائر آخر الليل. أيها اليهودي يا صانع زعمائي كأعداد من ورق لك. وأعداء من فولاذ لي، لا يعنيني كونك شرقياً أو غربياً، من الاشكناز أو السفارديم، علمانياً أو ملحداً. ربما أنت تائه الهوية، وأنا أيضاً لا أعرف نفسي أأنا عربي أم لبناني، أمسلم أم علماني. ولكنني أعرفك فعلاً. كارهاً لي منذ ولادتي وتحتفظ بملفي، وتعرف سلالتي وأقاربي، وفاحص دمي وبولي، لقد قرأتني كثيراً. وحفظتني في خلايا الكمبيوتر، الآن لم أعد فأرك، حان الآن أيها اليهودي لأراك أكثر وبوضوح تام، وبعداء أكبر، أنا عرب الشتات ملايين العراقيين والفلسطينيين واللبنانيين والمنبوذين، المهجرين، المهاجرين. أنا الشتات الجديد. أنات يهود العالم... أنا السبي، حان وقتي وحقدي".
