تجربة روزيفيتش الشعرية ومسيرته الإبداعية عموماً تقدم إغواءات كثيرة أن تجربته الشعرية والفنية تكاد تختلف تماماً عن سواها، من حيث تصورها لجوهر الشعر، لصورة الشعر والشاعر والقصيدة في عالمنا المعاصر. لم يهتم أحد من الشعراء بمصير الشعر والشاعر قدر اهتمام روزيفيتش به.
إن اهتمامه ليس تفلسفاً وإنما كشف، ليس مناصرة للشعر وإنما مكابرة ومواجهة ومنازلة له في أحيان كثيرة. روزيفيتش يلتحم بالشعر بالقدر الذي يبتعد عنه ليراه مجسداً أمامه بكل بركاته وذنوبه. حينما يلتحم تراه يكتب رؤياه الشعرية وحينما يبتعد يكتب رؤيته عن الشعر. بعد عشرين سنة يمكنه أن يقول لك بجرأة متناهية بحق أو بغيره: "ما كتبته من قصائد ليس شعراً، ليس شعراً هذا الذي كان يطبّل ويزمّر له الآخرون من نقّاد وصحافيين وأساتذة جامعيين وشعراء غاوين، متناسين أن "الشعر الحديث هو معركة حول التنفس".
كان روزيفيتش يكتب بطريقة: إذن فلأجرب، وأنا أمارس الشعر، أن أكشف عن هذه المسألة. أنه يحاور ويشاكس الأشخاص والأفكار والأشياء ويخلق حالته الشعرية التي وأنت تقرأه تشعر بأنك مشارك في خلقها أو في الأقل شاهد عليها. هنا تدرك بأن القصيدة لا تعني دائماً الشعر بالضرورة، وبأن الشعر ليس من الضروري أن يتمثل في القصيدة.
هذا الفهم وهذا الشعور مجتمعين قد دفعا روزيفيتش إلى ممارسة أشكال إبداعية متعددة من كتابة القصيدة بأنواعها وتقنياتها كافة إلى كتابه القصة والمسرحية والمقالة. يقول الناقد البولندي "بوركدت": لم يدافع أحد من الشعراء البولنديين عن شخصية الشعرية مثلما فعل روزيفتيش.
