لأنّ الشاعرَ أسيرُ الوحي يتبعهُ حيث كان ويُصيغَه في كلماتٍ ومعانٍ... كان لزامًا أن نشيرَ إلى أن هذا الديوان وُلِدَ من رحم عالم الحبِ والمُحبين، وبدأ يتنفس هواء الليل العليل ويأتنس بوميضِ النجوم وهى تتلألأُ في سماء الهوى في جنة العاشقين، ومن هنا كان اسمٌ يطابِقُ المُسمى (ليلٌ ونجوم)...
وأمرٌ آخر لا أحسبُه يبعُدُ عن الليلِ وعن النجوم، وهو أن هذا الديوان صاحب إرهاصات الشبابِ في الخامس والعشرين من يناير وموقف الشاعر منها من عدم قبول إلى خوف وقلق ثم في النهاية إلى رضىً وأمل...
ولأن الشباب في الخامس والعشرين من يناير خرج من ليل اللامبالاة من الآباء والكبار وأثبت أنه يستحق أن يكون من نجوم المستقبل اللامع، فإن اسم الديوان كان أيضًا مطابقًا لحال الشباب مع الليل والنجوم.
إلى كل هؤلاء.. أدعوهم إلى رحلة في رحاب الشعر بين ليلٍ ونجوم.
