قصص السيدة لمروان نجّار، بأسلوبه المشوّق المبسط، تقدم مقتبساً من حياة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، منذ ولادته وحتى وفاته صلى الله عليه وسلم. منذ أن راح "عبد الطلب" يتلمس طريقه ليلاً إلى الكعبة وهو يمعن في التأمل والتفكير إذ خلّف آمنة وراءه توشك أن تضع حملها الموعود. حيث أفاق الناس تلك الليلة على صوت عالٍ غريبٍ، فإذا بذلك اليهودي ينادي قائلاً: انظروا، لقد طلع الليلة نجم أحمد. لقد طلع الليلة نجم أحمد. أما كسرى فقد جاءه الخبر اليقين.. فلقد ضاع كسرى وسيضيع من بعده الملوك والأكاسرة.
قصص السيرة في سبع وعشرين جزءاً يضمها هذا الكتاب، تبدأ بتلك اللحظات التي ظهرت فيها البشرى وتنتهي بقصة الوداع بعد أن صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الفجر والظهر في المدينة ثم خرج حاجاً ومعه تسعون ألفاً من المسامحين وهناك حدث شيء ما، فقد قام صلى الله عليه وسلم خطيباً فقال: "أيها الناس اسمعوا قولي، فإني لا أدري لعلي لا القاسم بعد عامي هذا بهذا الموقف أبداً". وشعر الصحابة أن رسول الله يخطب خطبة الوداع.
