يقرر الشيخ كمال معاش في كتابه (إلى كل مسيحي) حقيقة وحدة الأديان وتحدرها من جذر واحد، التوحيد الإبراهيمي، فالدين الكلي الواحد برسالاته السماوية الثلاثة، جاء في القرآن الكريم بصيغة المفرد لا بصيغة الجمع "أديان" حيث جاء التأكيد في الكتاب الكريم على تواتر متلازم بشمولية ووحدة الاعتقاد لدى أهل الكتاب، واعتبار النصوص المنزلة في الأديان الثلاثة صيغاً متتالية لكتاب واحد.
إن الدين الإسلامي لم يأت لإلغاء كل ما في الأديان والأفكار التس بقته، بل لإثبات ما هو صحيح منها، فيعدل ويضيف ما هو أصلح للبشر وللحياة إلى أن يرث الله الأرض ومن عليها.
لقد أثار الشيخ كمال معاش في كتابه، إثارات تدعو الجميع إلى مزيد من معرفة الحق والتأمل فيه، وأعطى في صفحاته معنى حقيقياً لمبدأ الانفتاح على الآخر، وتعريفه بما ورد في القرآن الكريم من تكريم للنبي عيسى عليه السلام وأمه مريم البتول وخاطب الفكر المسيحي بلغة توافقيه وتوجه عقلاني هادئ.
