يحاول المؤلف في هذا الكتاب، التعرف على تجليات النبوة وإشعاعاتها في حياة الرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم عبر تأملات سريعة ولكنها مكثفة، يتوكأ فيها على من منهج، ويدلل على أصالة النبوة في حياة الرسول الكريم، موضحاً بجلاء أن النبوة حقيقة أصيلة في وجدان محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، وأنها القيمة العظمى التي سادت كل نبضات روحه، فاستمد من وهجها في داخله، ومن حضورها في أعماقه، مشروعية الطرح ودستور المقاومة والمثابرة. لقد كانت النبوة هي الشاكلة التي جسدت الذات بالنسبة لمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، فهي تشكل جوهر أفكاره واتجاهاته وحواسه ومشاعره. وفي الثقافة دالة يلمح الباحث إلى أن هناك انسجاماً وتطابقاً بين الفعل والشاكلة، فيجد أن أول إنجاز للنبي، وهو يحط في "قبا" ومن ثم المدينة، هو بناء مسجد، وكانت الصلاة هي العبادة التي دشن بها هذا المسجد. مما يعني أن أصالة العبادة التي تكشف عن أصالة النبوة، تتعزز بهذا الاهتمام البالغ الذي أبداه رسول الله في بناء المسجد، فقد تحول ذلك إلى مدخل نظمي في تاريخ الإسلام، إذ تولى هذا المسجد تأسيس الزمن الإسلامي بأروع تفاصيله فيما بعد.
ويجيء نشر هذه الدراسة في سلسلة كتاب مجلة قضايا إسلامية معاصرة، بغية التعرف على شيء من تجليات النبوة في حياة الرسول الكريم، والفاعليات العقائدية والتشريعية والأخلاقية لرسالة النبي، وما يمكن أن تمنحه من أمن وسعادة للمسلم المعاصر، لو أحسن التعاطي معها وتمثلها في حياته.
