يشكل هذا الكتاب مدخلاً لدراسة علم التحليل المركب والذي لا غنى عنه لطلاب كليات المعلمين والتربية والعلوم والهندسة، حيث يقدم الكتاب المبادىء الأساسية والعناصر اللازمة للتعرف على دوال المتغير المركب ومفاهيم النهايات والإتصال والإشتقاق لهذه الدوال وشروط تحليليتها وطرق مكاملتها والنظريات والنتائج الأساسية المستخدمة في طرق مكاملة دوال المتغير المركب. هذا وقد راعى المؤلف السهولة والبساطة في عرض مادة الكتاب بهدف أن يتعرف القارىء على مادة التحليل المركب لأول مرة، مرفقاً عمله بتمارين وأمثلة محلولة ومتنوعة من أجل أن يكتسب القارىء – المتعلم – مهارات وفنون الحل.
يتوزع الكتاب على أربعة أبواب ومباحث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية:
الباب الأول: دالة المتغير المركب ويضم: الأعداد المركبة، الدوال وحيدة القيمة ومتعددة القيم، الدوال الأولية للمتغير المركب Z (...) الخ.
الباب الثاني: تفاضل الدوال المركبة ويضم: الإشتقاق، معادلات كوشي – ريمان وقابلية الدالة للتفاضل، تمرينات عامة محلولة.
الباب الثالث: تكامل الدوال المركبة ويضم: تعريفات، التكامل الخطي، نظرية كوشي للتكامل، ... الخ.
الباب الرابع: المتسلسلات ونظرية الباقي. ويضم: متسلسلة تايلور، متسلسلة لورنت، نظرية الباقي لكوشي ... الخ.
وأخيراً تمرينات عامة على محتويات الكتاب.
يفيد من هذا الكتاب الطلاب والأساتذة العاملين في كليات المعلمين والتربية والعلوم والهندسة وكل مهتم بعلم الرياضيات.
