يختص هذا الكتاب بدراسة هندسة حركة (كينمتيكا) الجسيم وهي فرع على الحركة الديناميكا الذي يختص بوصف الحركة ودراسة خصائصها. أما افضل تعبير لترجمة هذه الكلمة هو: هندسة الحركة. لأجل ذلك جاء هذا الكتاب محاولة لإعداد القارىء وتهيئته لفهم واستيعاب مبادىء ديناميكا الجسم والجسم الجاسيء كمقرر أول لطلاب كليات الهندسة والعلوم والتربية والمعلمين.
يحتوي الكتاب على ستة أبواب رئيسة: تبدأ بباب تفصيلي عن: "هندسة حركة (كينمتيكا) الجسيم". والمفاهيم الأساسية التي تُعنى بها الكينمتيكا ... أما الباب الثاني فتناول موضوع: "كينتيكا الحركة" وبدأ بقانون نيوتن الثاني لحركة جسيم / حالة الجسيم الثابت الكتلة – وكيفية تطبيقه، ثم ختم الباب بتطبيق مهم هو: الحركة الإهتزازية لجسيم.
واختص الباب الثالث بموضوع "حركة المقذوفات" ويضم أفكار تطبيقية تعين القارىء على استعمال ما درسه من مبادىء الديناميكا. ويتعلق الباب الرابع بموضوع رئيس في الديناميكا وهو "الشغل والطاقة" ويبدأ بمبدأـ الشغل وطاقة الحركة وكيفية تطبيقه، ثم تعرض لأنواع الطاقات المختلفة للجسيم مروراً بمفهوم القوى المحافظة والغير محافظة. وكان موضوع "الدفع والتصادم" هو آخر أبواب ديناميكا الجسيم في هذا الكتاب ويضم: مفهوم الدفع والقوى الدفعية، ومبدأ الدفع وكمية الحركة الحطية، وقانون نيوتن التجريبي ...
واختتم الكتاب بموضوع "الحركة المستوية للجسيم الجاسيء" وذلك بشقيه الكينمتيكي والكينتيكي.
وأخيراً ملحقات الدراسة، وهي: المتجهات – مركز الثقف – عزم القصور الذاتي – أنظمة الوحدات ... الخ.
