سعاد الصباح ثورة بكل ما تحمل هذه الكلمة من معنى ثورة في الرؤية، ثورة في الطاقة، وأقول ثمة تداخلاً بين الشاعر والثائر ولا يمكن أن يبدع أحدهما إلا إذا كان ثانيهما، فكلاهما يحمل قضية "رسولية" إلى محيطه أو مجتمعة يناضل من أجلها، وكلاهما يعبر بواسطة متجاوزة وغير عادية ما يريد أن يوصله إلى الآخرين من أطروحات وقضايا، واعتقد أن ثورة سعاد الصباح الشعرية والاجتماعية مشروطة بواقعها، وملبية لنداء هذا الواقع في تطلعه وتغيره، وقائدة له نحو مستقبل أفضل نراه يبلج عند الأفق الممتد، ومن هنا كان لشعرها هذا الدور الريادي، وكان له مذاقه وطعمه الخاصان والمتميزان هذه الشاعرة العملاقة ما برحت ترمي عن قوس واحد تعددت سهامه وأوجاعه وكان أجدى عليها وعلى فنها وأجدى لنا نحن القراء أن نتتبع التطور في الموقف والرؤية والثورة الذي طرأ على مضمون نصوصها، والقضايا التي عبرت عنها الشاعرة هي: قضية الحرية بما فيها حرية الحب والعاطفة والتعبير عنها بين الذكر والأنثى، وقضية التحرير، وقضية التقدم الاجتماعي والحضاري وقضية القيم في أزهى معانيها، وقضية الألم الذي يعتصر القلب والنفس... هذه القضايا هي التي عبرت عنها الشاعرة... وجاء الكتاب إيضاحاً لها ومهما قيل في مجموع الدراسات التي ضمها الكتاب فهي مجرد محاولة لتقديم أدب سعاد الصباح إلى القارئ العربي.
