نقرأ في هذا الكتاب أبرز وأهم خطب الإمام "علي بن أبي طالب" رضي الله عنه جمعها السيد "محسن الموسوي" في كتاب سماه "روائع خطب أمير المؤمنين "علي بن أبي طالب".
يقول الكتاب: "وعلى أي حال أن هذه الخطب في هذا الكتاب هي خطبة الإمام الخالية من النقط وخطبة الإمام علي رضي الله عنه الخالية من الألف، وخطبة الإفتخار للإمام علي رضي الله عنه، وخطبة البيان للإمام علي، وخطبة الإمام علي المعروفة بالشقشقية، وخطبة أخرى للإمام علي يحذر فيها من الفتن، وخطبة للإمام علي تسمى "الغراء" وخطبة للإمام علي تعرف بخطبة الأشباح، وخطبة للإمام علي تسمى القاصعة، وخطبة للإمام علي يصف فيها المتقين.
ومن خطبة المتقين نقتبس هذه الشذرة، يقول الإمام علي رضي الله عنه: "فالمتقون فيها هم أهل الفضائل: منطقهم الصواب، وملبسهم الإقتصاد، ومشيهم التواضع؛ غضوا أبصارهم عما حرم الله عليهم، ووقفوا أسماعهم على العلم النافع لهم"...
