اختار الكاتب أيسر السبل في تعبيره عن أفكاره، فهو لا يتصنع التعقيد الذي يلجأ إليه الآخرون في الكتابة كما أتضح من أسلوبه في معالجة أحداث روايته ورسمه لملامح أبطاله القادمين من أماكن عديدة. تعكس الرواية بعض الملامح الواقع المزري الذي يجثم بثقله على نفوس أبناء الوطن العربي الكبير، وبأسلوب لا يخلو من السخرية يكشف المؤلف عن التناقضات التي تعتمل في ذهن المثقف المأخوذ بالأفكار التي ترد عليه من الخارج، والذي ينوء تحت ثقل الواقع ومرارته. وجوه عديدة يرسم المؤلف ملامحها لتلقي في النهاية راسمة ملامح رواية التي جسد بها عمق ما نعانيه جميعاً.
